KIDS AND TEENS
What is Kids & Teens Krav Maga?
Krav Maga is a practical self-defence system originally developed for the Israeli military — but it's also one of the most effective and empowering tools for young people today.
Our Kids & Teens Krav Maga program teaches age-appropriate self-defence, fitness, and conflict resolution in a safe, structured, and supportive environment. Classes combine real-life techniques with fun, high-energy movement that keeps kids engaged, focused, and coming back for more.
Simple, effective training that helps young people feel more confident, aware, and capable.
At Stronghold Academy, we offer separate classes for different age groups (typically 4–7, 8–11, and 12–15) to make sure every child is challenged at the right level — mentally and physically.
What Are the Benefits?
Krav Maga is more than just self-defence. It builds life skills that go far beyond the gym.

This isn’t just kicking and punching — it’s real preparation for real life.
Who Is It For?
Our Krav Maga program is open to kids and teens aged 4 to 15, with classes tailored to age, maturity, and skill level.
Krav Maga is a great fit for:
● Shy or anxious kids who need confidence and structure
● High-energy kids who benefit from focused discipline
● Teens who want to feel stronger and more independent
● Kids interested in martial arts but not competition-based training
● Parents looking for a program that builds character, not just fitness
No experience is needed. We welcome total beginners, and we work hard to create a space where every child feels supported, respected, and safe.
What Do They Learn?
While every class is packed with movement, drills, and challenges, here’s what we actually focus on teaching:
● How to prevent, avoid, and de-escalate conflict
● How to defend against grabs, pushes, and strikes
● How to stay safe in public spaces or at school
● How to stay aware, assess risk, and make smart decisions
● How to control adrenaline and stay calm under stress
● How to use voice, body language, and posture to deter threats
● Respect for others and responsibility for themselves
We also include scenario-based training to help students apply what they’ve learned in real-world situations — safely and confidently.
What Should They Bring to Their First Class?
Getting started is simple.
They’ll need:
● Comfortable sportswear (t-shirt and joggers/leggings)
● A bottle of water
● A willingness to try something new
We provide all training gear (pads, gloves, shields) during the trial period. If they continue, we’ll advise on equipment — but there’s no pressure to buy anything up front.
What to Expect in Class
Each class is between 45–60 minutes, depending on the age group. The format is consistent, engaging, and structured to help kids progress week to week.

Why Stronghold for Kids & Teens?
Because we don’t treat martial arts like a game — and we don’t treat kids like they’re fragile.
At Stronghold, our Kids & Teens Krav Maga program is:
● Realistic, but always age-appropriate
● Physically and mentally challenging, but always supportive
● Structured and disciplined, but still fun
● Focused on skill, safety, and long-term confidence
Parents trust us because we take what we do seriously — and kids love us because we make it real, relatable, and empowering.
Movement, mindset, and modern self-defence.
Common Questions
Is it safe?
Yes. All training is supervised, controlled, and taught with age in mind. We prioritise safety in every drill and every interaction.
Will my child get hurt?
No. There’s no full-contact sparring in early levels. Any partner work is light, structured, and respectful. Confidence grows through repetition — not roughness.
Is this good for kids who are shy or anxious?
Absolutely. Many of our most committed students started off nervous. Krav Maga helps them build confidence through skill, not bravado.
Can my child try a class first?
Yes — your child’s first class is completely free. It’s the best way to see how they respond and whether they enjoy it.
